Our Academics
At SCCS, we usually use hands-on homeschool curriculum based on what we think would be the best fit for our particular set of students. We emphasize faith and play-based learning!
Bible
Our K-1st grade Bible curriculum is from The Biggest Story, teaching Bible stories from Genesis to Revelation.
Our 2nd-6th grade Bible curriculum is from Summit Ministries, teaching about a Christian worldview through the Bible.
Language Arts & Writing
K-6th grade uses The Good and The Beautiful Language Arts and Handwriting curriculum.
Mathematics
K-6th Grade uses The Good and The Beautiful Math curriculum.
Science
1st-3rd grade will be doing Animal Science for the 2025-26 school year using curriculum from The Good and The Beautiful.
4th-6th grade will be studying Anatomy and Physiology for the 2025-26 school year using Apologia curriculum.
History & Geography
3rd-6th grade will be using The Good and The Beautiful history curriculum.
2nd-6th grade will occasionally learn geography and missions using My Father's World curriculum.
*** 7th Graders are doing all core subjects through Liberty University online.
Extracurriculars
In addition to our core curriculum, students will take extracurricular courses in the afternoons!
